Gold, silver, platinum and palladium bars or coins. Small denominations and collectible coins can also be stored.

Loose rubies, sapphires, emeralds and other gemstones. A certificate and valuation are required before storage.

Rings, necklaces and heirlooms, with or without mounted gemstones. We agree which valuation records you need before storage.
We arrange transport to Singapore and storage there. You can focus on your move, then decide whether your valuables should stay in Singapore or be shipped elsewhere.
Buying new pieces often cannot replace an heirloom or a collection. You can store the items you already own. They remain your property and are documented with photographs and a storage statement.
We arrange collection from your home, bank safe deposit box or existing storage provider. You can move your own bars and coins without transporting them yourself or selling and buying again.
With Patronus, you can store your physical assets outside your home country and outside the banking system. Singapore’s public finances, property rights and tax rules support its role as a storage location. Who holds your assets there matters just as much.

Singapore’s financial assets exceed its government debt. The high debt ratio you may see in international rankings counts its liabilities without accounting for those assets.
Some of that debt comes from investing savings from Singapore’s CPF retirement system. These funds are invested and cannot be spent on day-to-day government expenditure.
For your holdings, this means a storage country with its own financial reserves to respond to crises. Singapore has no net government debt and holds the highest sovereign rating from S&P, Moody’s and Fitch.
Singapore protects its independence through its armed forces, deterrence and international defence cooperation. It also maintains relationships with the United States, China and other trading partners.
Its foreign policy follows its own long-term interests. For your storage, this adds a separate location in Asia whose economy depends on stable international trade.
With Patronus, you can store gemstones, jewellery and non-exempt precious metals in the bonded warehouse at The Reserve. You do not pay Singapore Goods and Services Tax, or GST, on these goods while they remain there.
Direct export from the bonded warehouse also does not incur Singapore GST. It becomes payable if you release these goods for local use in Singapore.
Investment gold, silver and platinum bars and coins are already GST-exempt on import when they meet the statutory criteria, including the required purity and permitted form.
Singapore has no capital gains tax. This does not exempt business trading profits or remove tax obligations in your home country.
Singapore’s prosperity relies on trade and international investors’ confidence. Enforceable property rights, independent courts and reliable contracts are foundations of that success.
Nationalising privately owned gold would damage that confidence. In our view, Singapore’s economic model therefore weighs against such a step. Your storage country has an economic interest in protecting private property.
With Patronus, your bars, coins, gemstones and jewellery are stored with The Safe House at The Reserve in Singapore. We coordinate deposits, viewings and withdrawals at this location.
You retain ownership of your specific items. Your holdings are individually recorded, allocated to you and sealed in numbered tamper-evident bags. Photographs and a custody statement document the items stored for you.
With international storage arrangements, your contracting company and the vault may be in different countries. Comparing providers means checking the company you contract with as well as the country where your assets are held.
A worldwide presence does not automatically provide liability protection against government action. For example, Loomis Switzerland’s standard terms exclude liability for confiscation and nationalisation.
With Patronus, both your contracting company and the vault operator, The Safe House, are based in Singapore. You hold your own assets through companies in the storage country. This establishes where custody is arranged; it is not a guarantee against government action.

You can keep the assets you own instead of selling them and buying again in Singapore. Dealers usually buy at a lower price than they sell. Compare that price difference, plus any currency conversion and transfer fees, with our transport quote.

We help you choose storage based on the weight, space and value of your holdings, and establish how the GST rules apply. Your quote specifies the chosen arrangement and protection.
Your valuables held in custody at The Safe House are insured through Lloyd’s syndicates. Coverage includes physical loss or damage, theft, employee dishonesty and mysterious disappearance.
When storing valuables in a safe deposit box, you book the protection separately through Patronus. It starts at SGD 10,000 and can be increased in SGD 10,000 increments up to SGD 500,000 per box.
Your shipment is insured for the agreed route and declared value. Transport insurance is listed separately in your quote.

We check that every item on your inventory list has been delivered. They are then sealed in individually numbered security bags that show evidence of attempted opening.

Gold, silver and platinum may instead qualify for GST exemption under the IPM rules. Jewellery, gemstones and palladium do not qualify for this exemption; collectible coins are not automatically eligible.
Assets held in custody at The Safe House are insured through Lloyd’s syndicates. For a safe deposit box, you arrange additional protection through Patronus: from SGD 10,000, in SGD 10,000 increments up to SGD 500,000 per box.
